Chushi Gangdrug offers Tenshug to His Holiness

Dharamshala: The Welfare Society of Dokham Chushi Gangdrug presented a life-long offering to His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Tsuglagkhang here this morning.
Present at the ceremony were Gyalwa Karmapa Rinpoche, Jangtse Chosje Rinpoche, KalonTripa Samdhong Rinpoche in addition to scores of lamas and battery of dignitaries of Central Tibetan Administration, including Chief Justice Commissioner and Justice Commissioners, Speaker and Deputy Speaker, and Kalons.
In a brief address to the ceremony, His Holiness the Dalai Lama lauded the initiative, underlining that the sanctity of one’s commitment should be upheld at all times.
His Holiness said that Tibetans in Dotoe and Domed regions on the border with China have been, even in the face of great oppression and suppression, extremely robust in preserving their religious and cultural identity.
Reiterating that he is now in a state of “semi-retirement”, His Holiness underlined that the youth today must assume the brunt of taking the initiative for Tibetan cause.
