Manduwala, DEHRADUN: Ven. Karma Gelek Yuthok, Kalon for Religion and Culture of CTA today attended the long-life prayer offering ceremony of Kyabje Ngor Luding Khenchen Dorjee Chang Rinpoche at Nyor Pal Ewam Choden Monastery, Manduwala. The prayer ceremony was organised on the occasion of the 89th birthday of Kyabje Ngor Luding Khenchen Rinpoche.
Kalon Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok was invited as the chief guest of the occasion by Sakya Tenshug Organizing Committee.
Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Trizin Rinpoche and Chorig Kalon offered Mandal Tensum [Eng: Mandala offering] to Kyabje Nyor Ludhing Rinpoche followed by a procession of monks and devotees with symbolic offerings.
Led by masters of various schools of Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the gathering of monks, devotees and followers of Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism observed a long life prayer ceremony for Kyabje Ngor Luding Khenchen Dorjee Chang Rinpoche on his 89th birthday.
Later in the afternoon, Pal Sakya Gongma Trizin Rinpoche and Kalon Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok officiated the cake cutting ceremony in celebration of Rinpoche’s 89th birthday.
The ceremony was marked with a performance of Gongkar Ngacham, other religious and cultural performances.
