Dharamshala: The Chief Justice Commissioner, Sonam Norbu Dagpo today inaugurated the newly constructed Tibetan Circuit Justice Commission (TCJC) at Dekyiling settlement in Dehradun during his official visit.
Local Justice Commissioner, settlement officer, and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organisations welcomed the arrival of the Chief Justice Commissoner.
In his address, Chief Justice Commissioner spoke on the evolution of Tibetan democracy while highlighting the key responsibilities and duties of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission (TSJC) and its hierarchies of which, he highlighted the main objective of the newly established Tibetan Circuit Justice Commission, asserting that it was established as per the provision of the Tibetan Charter’s Article 69 and as per the Code of Judiciary, Civil Procedure Codes, and Rules of Evidence formulated by the TSJC.
On 28 August 2020, the TSJC appointed Mr Lhadruk as the Circuit Justice Commissioner and thus vesting the power to redress all civil matters to the Circuit Justice Commission based in Dekyiling.
Chief Justice Commissioner thanked all the members responsible for the successful completion of the construction of TCJC. The project began in October 2020 and saw its completion in March this year.
