The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Central Tibetan Administration, including Chief Justice Commissioner of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission (TSJC), Yeshi Wangmo, Speaker Sonam Tenphel, CTA leadership Sikyong Penpa Tsering, Deputy Speaker Dolma Tsering Teykhang, Two Tibetan Justice Commissioners Dawa Phunkyi and Labrang Phagpa Tsering, Education Kalon Tharlam Dolma, Department of Security Kalon Dolma Gyari, and DIIR Kalon Norzin Dolma, Public Service Commissioner Karma Yeshi, Auditor General Tashi Topgyal, several members of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, along with secretaries and staff of the various departments of the Central Tibetan Administration.
The Chair of the International Campaign for Tibet, Richard Gere, along with his son Homer James Jigme Gere, who is currently visiting Dharamshala, was also among the delegates present at the ceremony.
The Central Tibetan Administration observes this customary annual ceremony twice a year—once in summer and once in winter—to express respect and gratitude to Nechung, the key state oracle, whose spiritual guidance and counsel continue to play a vital role in the Administration’s decision-making on important spiritual matters.
