19 December 2022, New Delhi: Bharat Tibbat Samanvay Sangh (BTSS), one of the Tibet Support Groups in India, organised its winter national executive meeting called “Manthan 2022” in Ranchi, Jharkhand from 17 – 18 December 2022. The meeting was held at Conference Hall of the MDLM Hospital and Research Centre, Booti, under the host ship of BTSS Jharkhand Region.
More than 150 members of Bharat Tibbat Samanvay Sangh from all over India participated in the meeting, including National Convener Hemendra Singh Tomar, National Executive President Dr. Vivek Guru, National General Secretaries Vijay Maan and Arvind Kesari; and National General Secretary (Women Wing) Rajo Malviya.
The inaugural session of the meeting was graced by the presence of Shri C. P. Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Ranchi joined by Shri Anil Thakur, RSS Regional Pracharak, Shri D. K. Pandey, former DGP and Baba Mahahans Maharaj.
The two-day national executive meeting reviewed the activities and programs of BTSS chapters from last six months since the national executive meeting “Chintan Baithak” held in June at Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. The meeting further discussed action plans and programs of BTSS for the coming six months to work for Tibet and strengthening the Tibetan cause. The meeting also discussed and appointed some new executive members.
At the invitation of Bharat Tibbat Samanvay Sangh, India Tibet Coordination Office (ITCO), New Delhi’s Program Officer Choney Tsering, on behalf of ITCO, attended the meeting. He addressed the meeting with introducing the members to India Tibet Coordination Office of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and its role, and briefed the meeting on the current situation inside Tibet and seek their continued help and support for the Tibetan cause.
Tibetan Women’s Association Vice Present Tsering Dolma was also present at the meeting where in her address, she thanked the members of BTSS for their support for Tibet and promised for her cooperation in all activities and programs of BTSS for the Tibetan cause.
Members of Ranchi Tibetan Sweater Sellers Association led by President Tenzin Lhundup participated at the program where the members presented a Tibetan dance and a tribute song dedicated to Indian brothers and sisters. Members of Ramgarh Tibetan Sweater Sellers Association also attended the program.
The closing session of the two-day national executive meeting was graced by the presence of Shri Babulal Marandi, First Chief Minister of Jharkhand and current leader of opposition in Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.
ITCO Program Officer Choney Tsering, together with the representatives of Tibetan Sweater Sellers Association of Ranchi and Ramgarh, greeted the Indian dignitaries and BTSS National Executive Members with traditional Tibetan sacred scarf ‘khatak’ and in return, the organising committee felicitated the Tibetan members with scarf and souvenir.
The meeting saw renew energy and strength among the members specially among the young members with their pledge to help and support Tibet and Tibetans in their struggle for freedom, human rights and justice.
