Assembly members to participate in the Autonomy Educational Tour across Europe from 18-29 October

Dharamshala: 11 members of the Assembly of Tibetan People’s Deputies will leave today to participate in a 12-day Autonomy Educational Tour to be held in four different countries across Europe.
In the interim of their tour, they will visit Brussels and tour around the Belgian Parliament and the European Parliament, meet the members of the Inter-parliamentary Group for Tibet and participate in the Observing Committees’ Meetings.
They will leave for Bergamo, Milan on 20 October and meet with its President Dr. Luis Durnwalder and Vice-President of the Legislative Council, Veronika Stirner Brantsch. Besides there are other meetings with Inter Parliamentary Union, Westminister Foundation for Democracy and Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
They will witness a debate in the House of Commons and participate in the workshop on the South Tyrol autonomy at the European Academy Bolzano-Bozen.
The touring members will arrive in Edinburgh on 26 October and will be meeting the Cross-Party Group on Tibet and tour around the Scottish Parliament. There is a public event that include special slide show and illustrated talk on recent photography of Eastern Tibet by a curator of the National Museum of Scotland.
They will depart from London on 29 October.
