Dharamshala: The Assembly of the Tibetan People’s Deputies today passed an official resolution as an appreciation for the overall financial standing and financial performance of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) by the incumbent Kashag.
A majority of deputies approved the official resolution and it was passed by 23 votes to one on the last day of the budget session.
Earlier in this session, Lobsang Nyandak Zayul, Kalon for the Finance Department of the CTA, submitted Economic Review 2005-6 to the Assembly, which shows the privatisation of all 34-business units owned by the CTA and the successful repayment of the massive public debts.
Only about 10% of the public debts remain to be cleared, which the Kashag intends to repay by the end of this month.
The resolution calls on the Kashag to continue and meet the ongoing works mentioned in the Economic Review report.
