BODH GAYA: Mr Pema Khandu, Arunachal Pradesh’s minister of tourism and son of late chief minister Dorjee Khandu, today inaugurated the special edition of Tibet Museum at Bodh Gaya.

Mr Pema Khandu and his family is one of the chief patrons of the 32 Kalachakra initiations at Bodh Gaya from 1-10 January.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Pema Khandu remarked that he learned a lot from the pictures about Tibetan refugees and the difficulties that the Tibetans had to undergo in their 50 years in exile.
Kalon Ngodup Dongchung of the Department of Security and Mr Tashi, Additional Secretary of the Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration were also present at the inauguration.
Mr Tashi said that the Tibet Museum was specially constructed keeping in mind the huge number of devotees from Nepal, Bhutan,India and the significant number of Tibetans from Tibet and Chinese who have come for the Kalachakra initiations.
Pamphlets written in english, Tibetan and Chinese is also being distributed at the venue, he said.

The Tibet Museum exhibition will depict in pictures a detailed biography of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the international awards and recognitions that had been bestowed on him.
The Tibet Museum will also exhibit pictures from their ’50 years in Exile’ compilation as well as pictures and documents showcasing Tibet at various stages of history.
The inaugural exhibition was thronged by visitors from all age groups trying to get a glimpse of the pictures, which for many of them, will be one of the most beautiful memories that they will carry back home.
