Amar Ujala Newspaper Celebrates 75th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama[Friday, 9 July 2010, 3:40 p.m.]
Dharamshala: An
Indo-Tibetan cultural show was organized by Amar Ujala Newspaper to
celebrate 75th Birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Also
involved in the birthday celebration were Kukreja Education, Central
Tibetan Administration, UCO Bank, Study Channel Dharamshala, Bhartia
State Bank and Punjab National Bank Dharamshala at Tibetan Institute of
Performing Arts (TIPA) on Thursday.The program started with the
brief biography of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s achievements and the
organizers wished him a long and healthy life. Kalon Tripa,
Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, in his address, thanked the organizers for
arranging such a great show to celebrate His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s
75th birthday. He thanked Amar Ujala Newspaper group for being a great
supporter of the Tibetan people. He also thanked and praised them for
following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.Traditional Tibetan
dance were performed by TIPA and Thangtonglugar artistes. Dronacharya
college of education, Sharan college of education and students from
other institutes performed Indian dance on the day. The
special guests invited for the day including Kalon Tripa Prof.Samdhong
Rinpoche and others were Prof. Chaman Lal Gupt chairman of HP school
education, Dr.Sandeep Bhatnagar additional deputy commissioner, Kangra
and Dr. Atul Fulzele superintendent of police, Kangra.
