Dharamshala: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday, 2 May 2019 released the result of All India Senior School Certificate Examination – 2019 for all regions on board’s official website cbseresults.nic.in.
From 17 Tibetan schools, 1133 students appeared in the examination held in March 2019, out of which 1100 have cleared the exam, 28 students were placed in the compartment category and 5 students have failed. The overall pass percentage is 97% which is 1.44 better than
the last year with 95.56%.
Karma Phuntsok Dawa from TCV Selakui has topped among the Tibetan students securing 470 of 500 with 94%. Out of 17 Tibetan Senior Secondary Schools, eight schools have produced 100% result.
The following is the list of Gaden Phodrang Awardees for the year 2019 from each stream.
A) Arts Stream:
Tenzin Gangtso with 92% from STS Bylakuppe, Sonam Dickyi with 89.6% from THF Mussoorie, Tenzin Tsomo from STS Mundgod and Tenzin Namgyal from THF Mussoorie with 87.8% each.
B) Commerce Stream:
Tenzin Longrig with 89.6%, Tsering Dekyi with 88.2% and Kalsang Rinchen with 85.2 % all from TCV Bylakuppe.
C) Science Stream:
Karma Phuntsok Dawa with 94% from TCV Selakui, Lhamo Tsering with 91% from THF Mussoorie and Tsering Lhamo with 90.8% from TCV Selakui.
The Department of Education, CTA congratulates all the students who have successfully cleared the exam and, the teachers and parents who have contributed to their success. The department also urges the students who could not clear the exam not to get discouraged as there are many more chances in the future.
