Dharamshala: After the successful completion of the UK visit, Sikyong Penpa Tsering is visiting Norway on the second leg of his Europe tour.
During his final engagements in London, Sikyong interacted with Tibetan youth in and around London on 29 April. Over an hour-long interaction, Sikyong spoke on the historically independent status of Tibet, its rich cultural heritage, ecological significance and the prevailing situation. He further spoke on the role of the younger generation of Tibet in taking over the baton of the Tibetan struggle.
In the evening, Sikyong addressed the Tibetan community. Among the guests present were Kasur Kesang Yangkyi Takla and Former Representative Tsering Tashi. Sikyong spoke of how Tibetans from all quarters of the community rose in unison in the face of adversity and despite the agony of the recent incident, for the Tibetans inside Tibet to be finally able to receive a glimpse of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, without fear was indeed a blessing in disguise.
Before embarking on the Norway visit, Sikyong visited the weekend London School of Tibetan Language and Culture and interacted with the students and staff there on 30 April.
