A Tent City for Kalachakra Teachings

Dharamshala: A tent city has come up in Amaravati town. 2635 tents of various qualities and rent ranging from rupees 850 to luxury A/C suite rupees 145,000 have been set up in eight different places in Amaravati for those who are attending the Kalachakra teachings.
A Tibetan-style tent has been put up for the Kalachakra temple facing the meditating Buddha statue, 120 feet from where His Holiness Dalai Lama will give the teachings.

The Kalachakra ground is almost completed and every preparation will be made before the commencement of the teachings on 5 January, according to the Kalachakra organising committee’s vice chairman.
The Tibetan Administration and the Kalachakra organising committee are working very hard for the Kalachakra ceremony to be conducted at Amaravati from 5 January, with whole-hearted support and cooperation from the state government and the local administration of Guntur district.
