A New Book of Resolutions on Tibet Hits the Stand
Dharamsala 4 June 2005- With the increasing awareness on the true nature of the Chinese rule in Tibet, various international bodies have passed hundreds of resolutions in support of Tibet since 1959.
Over a hundred most important of these resolutions are now compiled in the book International Resolutions and Recognitions on Tibet released today by the Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) of the Central Tibetan Administration.
The book is the fourth edition. It was first published in 1989, second in 1994 and third in 1997.
According to Tsewang Norbu, head of the Translation and Publication section of the DIIR, “the book forms an invaluable source of reference to nearly five decades of global initiatives on Tibetâ€â€ÂÂstarting from the UN General Assembly Resolution in 1959”.
