Odisha: As part of the initiatives under the Year of Compassion marking the 90th birth year of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Local Ghoton Organising Committee of Odisha Phuntsokling Tibetan Settlement organised a community feeding programme on 27 May 2026.

Under the programme, a midday meal comprising rice, dal, and mixed vegetables—widely enjoyed by the local residents—was served to approximately 1,000 villagers from the surrounding areas of Chandragiri town.

In connection with the programme, members of the Chandragiri Hato Youth Association voluntarily rendered their services, while the settlement community collectively contributed a total of 1,878 kilograms of rice towards the initiative.
