Satuan: As part of the Ghoton programme to mark His Holiness The Great 14th Dalai Lama’s 90th Birthday as the Year Of Compassion, Kham Kathok Tibetan Settlement set free around 2,000 fishes from fish shops at Kulhal, near Poanta Sahib on auspicious month of Sakadawa and auspicious day of white Wednesday, 20 May, 2026.

Under the supervision of Settlement Officer Ugen Choedon Oshoe, Sataun Ghoton Organising Committee members toured the fish shops and bought approximately 1900 small fishes and 100 big fishes to set free. They were released 2 km away where the waterway goes into the mountain to avoid recapture by fishermen.
