March 2026: March is globally recognised as Women’s History Month and is annually observed by Women’s Empowerment Desk (WED) as Women’s Empowerment Month. This year, WED, in collaboration with Tibetan schools, settlements, individuals, and organisations, marked the occasion by underscoring the importance of women’s empowerment, women’s rights, and gender equality within the Tibetan community.

A series of thoughtfully curated activities, including sports, games, creative expressions, and structured discussions, were organised throughout the month. These initiatives aimed to raise awareness, encourage dialogue, and promote a deeper understanding of gender equality, while fostering a more inclusive and equitable community.
