Dharamshala: The Annual Governing Council Meeting of Tibet House Society was held at 10:30 am on 12 February 2026 at Tibet House, Delhi. Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), attended the 54th Annual Board Meeting as a special guest.
During the 53rd Board Meeting, it was decided to invite a representative from the Department of Religion and Culture to future Executive Committee meetings. Accordingly, Secretary Dhondul Dorjee was invited to attend this meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Ambassador Dr Nirupama Rao, Vice Chairperson of the Tibet House Society.
Attendees included Shri Shyam Saran, former Indian Foreign Secretary; Smt. Ranjana Jha, former Chief Commissioner of Central Goods and Services Tax in Bengaluru; Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director of the Tibet House, Cultural Centre of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi; Secretary Tenzin Kunkyab, and Accountant Ashok Arora.
Shri Samar Nanda, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, joined the meeting online.
