
Dharamshala: On 25 December 2025, Gelug Parliamentarians Geshe Lharampa Gowo Lobsang Phende and Geshe Lharampa Atuk Tseten received an audience with the 105th Gaden Tripa during the Non-sectarian Scholarly Debate held in commemoration of Ghoton, marking the 90th birth anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, at Drepung Loseling Monastery.
During the audience, the Gaden Tripa emphasised the importance of promoting religious harmony and commended the two Parliamentarians for their service as representatives of the Gelug tradition. The Rinpoche also remarked that Tibetans would not remain in India permanently, underscoring the importance of returning to Tibet and highlighting the significance of Tibetans living inside Tibet.
The two Members of Parliament offered prayers for the long life of Tri Rinpoche, wishing for his continued role as a protector of the teachings and all sentient beings.
