Dharamshala: The new Chairman and two members of the 5th Local Tibetan Assembly of Gangtok were sworn in on 18 November 2025 at the conference hall of the Gangtok Tibet House.

The swearing in ceremony was held under the oversight of the officiating Local Tibetan Election Commissioner cum acting Tibetan Settlement Officer, Tsering Dadul.

The Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of the Northern region, Choekyi, virtually briefed the attendees on relevant provisions of the Tibetan Charter and regulation of the oath-taking of Local Tibetan Assembly.

Following this, the new Chairman, Tsering Wangchuk, and the two new members were virtually sworn in. The oath was virtually administered by Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner Choekyi.
