Dharamshala: As part of the Year of Compassion celebrations commemorating His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama’s 90th birth anniversary, the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile organised an exhibition titled “Democracy: A Gift of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the Tibetan People” at the Centre for East Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, on 4 November 2025.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Dean of the School of International Studies at JNU and a Padma Shri awardee, who warmly commended the initiative.

The event was organised with support from Prof. Srikanth Kondapalli of the Centre for East Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, along with Tibetan students enrolled at the university. The exhibition successfully informed more than a hundred students about the remarkable contributions of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the evolution of Tibetan democracy.

The organising team from the Tibetan Parliamentary Secretariat included staff members Tenzin Paljor, Gyaltsen Gonpo, Tenzin Menkyi, and Phuntsok Gyatso.
