
Bern: Kyabje Kundeling Rinpoche visited the Swiss Parliament in Bern and met with National Councillor Laurence Fehlmann Rielle at the Federal Parliament on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 2.
Along with Kyabje Kundeling Rinpoche, the delegation included Ms. Thinlay Chukki (Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Office of Tibet Geneva), Phuntsok Topgyal (UN Advocacy, OOT Geneva), Samdo Jampa, Ngawang Gangschontsang, Ngedun Gyatso Drongpatsang (President, TCSL), Kalsang Namgyal Kangrang (Vice President, TCSL), Kanam Dewa, Sonam Chodak Dongchungtsang, Tenga Lehmön Dotschung (TYAE), Nima Kunsang Lhamo Pünkang (TFOS), Nima Dolkar Drongsar, and Thomas Büchli, Secretary of the PG Tibet and Vice President of the GSTF.
During the meeting, Kyabje Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche expressed his profound gratitude to the member of Parliament for her continued support and genuine interest in the Tibetan cause. He spoke about His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s three principal commitments: the promotion of human values, the fostering of inter-religious harmony, and the preservation of Tibet’s rich cultural heritage.
Rinpoche emphasised that Tibetan culture—with its deep spiritual and ethical traditions—is not only central to the Tibetan identity but also represents a significant contribution to humanity as a whole. He underscored that His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s lifelong efforts to preserve and promote Tibetan culture aim to benefit people around the world through the universal values of compassion, peace, and mutual respect.
The meeting concluded with a mutual reaffirmation of the importance of dialogue, cultural understanding, and continued support for the Tibetan people and their heritage.
