
Bylakuppe: Tsering Dorjee, Head of the Agriculture and Cooperative Section of the Department of Home under the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), officially concluded his service this week, marking the end of a distinguished career spanning over four decades.
He formally retired as Joint Secretary on 30 June 2024, following 40 years of dedicated service. At the request of the administration, he continued to serve for an additional year as a contractual staff member under the CTRC, extending his tenure until 31 July 2025.
A formal handing-over ceremony was held on 29 July 2025, during which Tsering Dorjee officially transferred his responsibilities to Tsewang Norbu, Manager of the Organic Research and Training Centre (ORTC). The event was attended by Additional Secretary Jigme Tsutrim, Chief Representative Officer of Bengaluru, who represented the Department of Home.
The Department of Home expressed its deep appreciation for his “dedication and selfless service” and extended its best wishes for his retirement, wishing him “good health, happiness, and a meaningful life ahead.”
