Hunsur: On 30 June 2025, Tibetans at the Hunsur Rabgayling settlement celebrated His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday according to the Tibetan Lunar Calendar at Dzongkar Choede Monastery.

The event was graced by the abbot of Gyudmed Tantric Monastery, Geshe Ngawang Sangye, along with special guests Tibetan Settlement Officer Norbu Tsering, Dzongkar Choede Abbot Gelong Thupten Tsering, and the monastery’s disciplinarian, Jampa Gyaltsen.

The celebration also featured an exhibition on Kyidong Jowo Wati Sangpo, as well as the launch of a pictorial book on Jowo Wati Sangpo and a special journal edition dedicated to the ghoton.
