Dharamshala: With the news release of Tibetans in Lhasa suffering under the harsh zero-Covid regulations imposed by the Chinese government, Tibetans in diaspora concerned by the developments are dedicating prayers for swift resolution of the crisis.
As per the directive of the Chorig department, Mundgod Doeguling settlement under the settlement office’s lead organised a prayer congregation yesterday afternoon between 2:30 pm-4:30 pm in solidarity with those suffering inside Tibet. Around 400 people attended the prayer session led by Ganden Jangtse monastery.
Similarly, Tibetans in Paonta led by the settlement office observed a prayer congregation on September 21 in the afternoon at the community hall. Around a hundred attendees were led in prayers by Shalu monastery’s chant master.
