Dalhousie: The Tibetan Primary Health Care Centre in Phuntsokling Settlement, Dalhousie, in collaboration with PMC Hospital, Pathankot (Punjab), organised an annual medical camp at the settlement on 18 August 2022 to conduct medical examinations due to the inaccessibility of large hospitals in the region.
The examiners performed a full-body screen check including CBC, Glucose Fasting, Calcium, Total Protein, Cholesterol, SGOT & SGPT, UREA, BUN, CREATININE, URIC ACID, BUN/CREATININE RATIO, TSH (THYROID) to 17 Tibetans with gynaecological examinations for 13 female residents. Furthermore, the camp offered patients free medicines and a 70 per cent discount for blood and sputum tests.
The examining team consists of four members from the PMC Hospital, namely Dr Gagan Deep (Gynaecologist), Dr Nidhi Puri (Pathologist), Ravi Kant, AMPATH (Manager), Gopal (Phlebotomist), along with the staff of Tibetan Primary Health Care Centre.
