Referring to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s “very realistic advice”, the Peace Nobel laureate said Nehru had told him that the American force would not expel Chinese forces from Tibet and “so sooner or later you will have to talk to the Chinese government There is no use in raising the Tibetan issue at UN”.

I really admire the New Zealand Prime Minister. She is wonderful. So, that is a living example, and everyone can learn from that.”
It has become important to instil compassion among people to bring in real happiness and SEE Learning is an effort to achieve it, the Dalai Lama said. “Even the killings we are seeing today around the world are doings of humans only… Our education today is only teaching to be materialistic, not to seek happiness. So, in education, that horizon of emotion is necessary, and compassion in heart to achieve happiness.”

India should help countries facing religious conflict considering her long history of religious harmony.
