Dharamshala: As per latest confirmation from the CTA Task Force for Wuhan originated COVID-19 pandemic, 7 Tibetans in India have successfully recovered from COVID-19 with the total number of active cases now at 12 and 2 deaths.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the COVID-19 situation in the Tibetan community abroad has improved based on information received from the Offices of Tibet and concerned health authorities which has so far reveal no new cases this week—suggesting considerable recovery of previously infected cases.
The total active cases as confirmed by the Task Force are: 43-year-old man from Delhi; 34-year-old man from Delhi; 65-year-old woman from Delhi; and 9 from Ladakh including 68-year-old, 52-year-old, 19-year-old, 23-year-old, 20-year-old, 55-year-old, 23-year-old, 28-year-old and 21-year-old.
As India battles with the rising number of cases each day, the Tibetan community too under the leadership of the Central Tibetan Administration is devising every effort to curb the coronavirus situation within the exile Tibetan community. CTA’s Task Force on COVId-19 is working round the clock to prevent further spread of the virus within the community.
However, the pandemic can only be contained if not eliminated entirely with the equal and active participation of the public.
