Gyalsa, Nepal: The 10th Local Tibetan Assembly of Gyalsa Tibetan settlement was sworn in on 28 October following the election of 11 new members including its chair Sonam Tsering and vice-chair Kunsang Dorje.
Pema Sangpo, the Local Justice Commissioner of Northern region and Ladakh administered the oath of the newly elected members virtually.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, the Local Justice Commissioner addressed the gathering on the importance of the Local Tibetan Assembly members and their roles in introducing/amending laws concerning undertakings of the Tibetan Settlement Offices. He also implored the newly elected LTA members to abide by the principles of the oath during the term and apprised them about objective of amending laws.
