DHARAMSHALA: Major cities and Tibetan settlements across India observed Global Solidarity Day on 10 December on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the conferment of Noble Peace Prize to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the 64th anniversary of International Human Rights Day.

NEW DELHI: Around 200 Tibetans, Indian supporters, friends of Tibet, human rights activists and people from different walks of life from Delhi and NCR joined a candle light vigil to show their solidarity with the Tibetan people at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi from 6PM to 7PM.
This program was jointly organized by Core Group members and Tibet Support Groups in Delhi. India Tibet Coordination Office based in New Delhi coordinated the event among Tibet supporters and Tibetans residing in Delhi to bring bigger audience and to stand in solidarity with Tibetans in Tibet for their demand for basic fundamental rights and religious freedom

CHAUNTRA, HP: The Tibetan settlements of Chauntra and Bir in Himachal Pradesh, organized a mass prayer ceremony in Palyul Choekhor Nyingmapa Monastery at 2:00 pm, presided over by Ven Ringo Tulku and Dzongsar Khenchen Jamyang Losel. A candle light vigil was also held at 05:30 pm .
Over 2000 people participated in the program.

GUWAHATI: Over 400 Tibetans from the north-east Tibetan settlements of Tezu, Shillong, Bomdila, Dimapur, Kohima gathered at Dighalipukhuri in Guwahati to observe the Global Solidarity day on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to His Holiness and International Human Rights Day.

MANDI: The Tibetan settlement office of Mandi district organised a prayer service to express solidarity with the sufferings of the Tibetans inside Tibet on the Global solidarity with Tibet day. Dressed in traditional Tibetan attire, around 200 Tibetans and monks residing in Mandi attended the service.
