DHARAMSHALA: Under a special initiative to ensure sustainable water facilities in Tibetan settlements, the Department of Health, CTA is undertaking a water source sustainability survey in eight major Tibetan settlements in India.
The officials began the survey from 12 January and so far, has completed a comprehensive survey of water sources and sustainability in five major Tibetan settlements in South India.
With satellite technology and imaging, the survey is being conducted with the most high end technology and expertise. The Department has also hired an expert from the Space Geo Tech to supervise the entire survey.
The survey is now being conducted in three Tibetan settlements in Central India. The officials carry out a daily screening of the water samples, sources and thorough examination its sustainability in the future.
The project is being funded by PRM.
