Dharamshala: A team of USAID delegates visited the Department of Health, CTA to monitor the USAID-funded projects. The USAID delegation consists of Office Director Mark Tegenfeldt, Deputy Office Director Dr Poonam Smith-Sreen, Development Assistance Specialist Balaka Dey, and Project Management Specialist Radharani Thakuria from General Development Office.
The Additional Health Secretary Jampa Phuntsok and the Department’s senior management received the USAID delegation. Upon arrival, Project Coordinator Tenzin Tseyang gave a brief presentation on the USAID-funded projects undertaken by the Department. Besides, the delegates were also briefed on each program by the respective program coordinators, followed by Q&A sessions.
Before concluding the visitation, the Additional secretary gave a vote of thanks and presented the team with a Tibetan memento.
USAID delegation will meet CTA officials and observe and monitor USAID Tibetan Self-Reliance Resilience (TSRR) funded projects.
On the sideline of their visit, the delegation team will visit schools, settlements, and primary health centres in and around Dharamshala to monitor various USAID-supported activities. In addition, the delegation will visit Bir Primary Health Center on the 23rd of March 2022.
