
Tibetans and Supporters in Taiwan Hold Prayer Service in Solidarity with Dingri Earthquake Victims
Dharamshala: On 8 January from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Office of Tibet in Taiwan, in collaboration with the Tibetan Association in Taiwan and the Taiwan International Tibetan Buddhism Association, jointly organised a prayer service in response to the recent earthquake that caused significant damage to life and property in Dingri County and surrounding towns including Ngamring, Sakya, Dingye and Latse in Tibet.
The earthquake caused significant damage to people, property and infrastructure. The prayer service was held at the prayer hall of the Office of Tibet in Taiwan, where Tibetan residents and supporters convened to express their solidarity with the affected communities. Attendees offered butter lamps and recited the Six-syllable Mani Mantra as part of their prayers for the victims and those impacted by the disaster.
