DHARAMSHALA: According to a reliable news source, a young Tibetan was arrested by Chinese police securities following a peaceful protest at Dzongkar Street, Ngaba County.
Tashi was carrying a portrait of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and calling for freedom in Tibet and return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama back to Tibet. The Chinese police securities arrived shortly at the venue and arrested him.
Tashi, 31, lives in division 5 of Meruma town, Ngaba County. He is the son-in-law of Thakta Tsang. He has two daughters and two sons with his wife Kalpey. Two of his children are currently studying at school, Meruma town.
The Chinese authorities have restricted communication channels in the area since 10 September 2015. They have even tightened security controls in the area disrupting daily lives of the Tibetans.
