89th Birthday celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama by Tibetans in Kullu district , Manali
Kullu Manali: The Tibetan community in the Kullu district, Manali, convened at Palrabling Tibetan settlement, Dhobi, to commemorate the 89th birthday anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
On this special occasion, the event’s chief guest was Dr Karthikeyan Gokulachandran, IPS, the Superintendent of Police in Kullu. The event also had special guest Geshe Lharampa Gendun Phuntsok from Ön Ngari Monastery and other Indian dignitaries in attendance.
The celebration began with the recitation of the Mantra of Medicine Buddha and included other prayer services. It was held to commemorate the auspicious birthday anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The celebration concluded with lively cultural dance performances from the students of Sambhota Tibetan School in Manali.
