Tokyo: Tibet House Japan starts its annual three-month Saturday Tibetan language class on Sunday, 6 August 2023, at the office in Nishiochiai, Shinjukuku.
Representative Dr. Arya Tsewang Gyalpo welcomed the students both in-persons and on online to the Tibetan language class and thanked them for their interest in Tibetan language and culture. He said the language class will be not only about the Tibetan language but also about Tibetan spiritual culture and the civilisation. He further added that the Tibet House will endeavour to answer the students’ aspirations and expectations.
The language class is of two hours with one hour for conversation class and one hour for reading and writing class. Meditation and invocation of Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of wisdom are also part of the curriculum.
Apart from Japanese students there are students from Mongol and Chinese origins. Some of the students are repeat students, who said the class give them a nostalgic feeling, spiritual revitalisations, and affinity to oneself.
The class will be held till the end of October, Tashi Yangzom and Tselha of the Tibet House will conduct the class along with the Representative.
