Kullu: The Tibetan Community of Kullu gathered at the Tibetan community hall to celebrate the enactment of a law to resolve the Sino-Tibetan conflict, officially signed into law by US President Joe Biden. This historically significant celebration was attended by the primary guest, the head of the Tibetan Settlement, key committee members of the Settlement Association, and the accountant of the local Tibetan community.
Additionally, the program was attended by representatives of the heads of six regions, including the district officer, Lobsang. They elaborately discussed the process and significance of the law for resolving the Sino-Tibetan conflict, which was successfully enacted. It was emphasized that the enactment of such a law is mainly due to the efforts of the esteemed administration and the support from US Congress members and significant US associations supporting the Tibetan cause. Special thanks were expressed to all the US supporters who ensured the successful enactment of this law across the three branches of the government.
During the celebration, the Tibetan Settlement Office also provided refreshments, including tea and snacks, to the attendees. The Kullu Tibetan Settlement extended special gratitude to the US and the Tibetan government in exile. Numerous community members participated in the event, including students from Sambhota School, who performed various songs and dances, making the celebration lively and joyous.
The primary reason for the bill’s passage was to thank the officials of the Central Tibetan Administration and the United States Congress, especially the supportive members of the Tibetan cause and all American supporters who have been actively involved in resolving the Tibetan-Chinese conflict. The local Tibetan Assembly contributed tea and food to the celebration. The Tibetans of the six areas of Tibet and the students of Manali Sambhota Day School danced to express their gratitude to the American government and the people of the United States.
