Taiwan: The Tibetan association in Taiwan held mass prayers on Sunday for the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and for the fulfilment of his noble wishes.
The prayer session was attended by Representative Kalsang Gyaltsen Bawa led the staff of the Office of Tibet.
Representative Bawa thanked the organising committee and apprised the gathering about the recent meeting between His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the delegation of the Taiwan-based Foundation for Democracy comprised of its president Hunag Yu-Lin and Wu Kuo Pen, advisor of the foundation. He also talked about the delegation’s visit to the various Tibetan institutions in Dharamshala.
The association’s president Tashi Tsering explained the objective and purpose of organising the prayer session and further talked about the future action plans.
Following the event, Representative Bawa jointly with the president of the Tibetan association had a meeting to discuss the celebrations of the upcoming 34th Nobel Peace Prize conferment to His Holiness on 10 December and the commemoration of the 25th founding anniversary of the Office of Tibet in Taiwan.
