Dharamshala: Under the directive of CTA’s COVID-19 Task Force, Shimla settlement has opted for preventive measures corresponding to the guidelines of its district government.
According to the guidelines, those returning from the red zone districts are to quarantined at the government facilitated center while returnees from a district other than the red zone are made to quarantine at CTA prepared facilities.
Those that have been financially impacted by the outbreak whose livelihood has been altered by the lockdown have been aided through the CTA emergency relief fund. A total of 13 residents have received dry ration and other relief aid worth Rs 27,473. Apart from that, the settlement COVID-19 committee meets on a regular basis to chart out the needs for the ongoing pandemic.
Once a week, volunteer health care workers in the settlement conduct active screening of the entire residents and so far no cases have been reported in the settlement. The settlement also conducts routine sanitisation of the area. Under the Department of Home emergency support funds, around 13 residents have received Rs 5000 each to cope up with the daily needs.
