Dharamshala: Since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and the closure of the schools thereafter for an indefinite time, Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society had taken all the necessary precautions and steps as per guidelines received from Kashag (CTA), Department of Education, CTA, and on its own ground to fight this Global Pandemic. The education of the children was given prime importance, but Children’s health was not neglected at the same time. Therefore, all the Heads of schools under the society are being provided timely guidance to make sure that the learning of the students is not affected. They were advised to form WhatsApp groups involving Heads, teachers, students, parents, and PTA as well for online teaching-learning and encouraged to avail various learning platforms available on social media.
The three mentors of Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society are also preparing video lessons and developing resources for the teachers and the children to support the online teaching-learning process.
Besides, to show solidarity and to support the nation-wide fight against the global pandemic, all the teaching and non-teaching staff of Sambhota Tibetans Schools and the staff of STSS Head office had donated their one day salary amounting to Rs. 320,190.00 (Rs. Three Lakhs Twenty Thousand One Hundred Ninety) only towards PM Cares Fund as a small contribution.
Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society prays for the victims of Covid-19 and applauds the timely and necessary measures taken by the Central/State/Distt. Government and Central Tibetan Administration to fight this Global Pandemic.
