Taipei: Representative Kelsang Gyaltsen Bawa and Secretary Mingyur Youdon from the Office of Tibet in Taiwan attended the celebration of U.S Independence Day (Fourth of July) to an invitation from the American Institute in Taiwan – the U.S Embassy in Taiwan – at Grand Hyatt Taipei on 6 July 2023.

The celebration was also attended by the President and Vice President of Taiwan, along with the ministers, parliamentarians, Ambassadors/Representatives and officials from various Taipei-based embassies, and prominent political scientists. Interestingly, all three candidates of the upcoming Taiwanese presidential election also participated in it.

During the commemoration, Representative Kelsang Gyaltsen Bawa and Secretary Mingyur Youdon spoke with numerous distinguished guests to introduce and apprise them of the Tibet issue.
