Pretoria, South Africa: Inkatha Freedom Party’s Founder and President Prince Mangosuthu G. Buthelezi, South Africa congratulated CTA President Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay on the success of the TPSA 2020 in a letter on January 26, 2020, via Representative Ngodup Dorjee, Office of Tibet, South Africa.
He acknowledged the Central Tibetan Administration stating, “just over ten years ago, the Inkatha Freedom Party officially recognised the Central Tibetan Administration as the legitimate representative body for the Tibetan people, both inside Tibet and in the exiled diaspora. ”
The veteran leader and Tibet supporter observed the historic significance of the bill becoming official US policy and expressed hope that under the newly-elected President Biden’s administration it will be implemented accordingly.
Expressing solidarity for the common goal of nonviolent struggle for human rights, democracy and freedom, he added, “As always, the IFP continues to support the nonviolent struggle. We believe that the Middle Way Approach provides the answer.”
He concluded by wishing strength to the Tibetan political head in the pursuit of peaceful resolution of the Tibet issue.
