To celebrate the 87th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tibet House, London, has organised this photographic exhibition, bringing to life, through old pictures over the years, the life-long endeavour of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to promote his principal beliefs in the
- Oneness of humanity
- Inter-religious harmony
- Protection of Tibetan heritage and environment
- Revival of ancient Indian knowledge
His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche, lineage holder of Shangpa Kagyu order of Tibetan Buddhism, will open the exhibition on 6 July evening, with a closed-door preview to over 100 guests. The exhibition will be open to the public with free admittance from 7th onwards. A life-size cut-out photograph of His Holiness will be the centrepiece of this exhibition. In addition, visitors will be treated to a hands-on experience using traditional Tibetan musical instruments and costumes.
There will be complimentary public talks in the evenings and children’s activities accompanying the photographic exhibition at the same venue.
