Dharamshala: The Office of Auditor General, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) organised a three-day intensive training on Cooperative Management and Cooperative Audit for its 16 staff from 28 June to 30 June 2022 at the Regional Institute of Cooperative Management, Bangalore (RICMB).
The three-day training was inaugurated by the chief guest Shri Siddanagowda B Nellapanavar, the Joint Registrar of Cooperative Society (Admin) from Office of the Registrar of Co-operative Society-Bangalore, in the presence of the Deputy Director of the RICMB Dr K. Ravichandran, Faculty members and the participants.
Over the course of training, participants will be covered with areas of Audit of PACS, Cooperative Societies, GST and Income Tax, EDP Audit, Important Provision of the KCS Act. Accounts & Audit, Acts & Rules and its latest Amendments.
There are 39 Tibetan Settlement in India, out of which 15 settlements’ people have formed co-operative societies under the respective State Co-operative Societies Act spanning 8 different States and UT of India i.e. Karnataka, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh (UT).
Through this training, the organiser aims to achieve efficiency in cooperative audit and to create better understanding of the principles of co-operative audit, co-operation rules and regulations, related tax matters. and to improve the quality of co-operatives’ audit and report.
