Dalhousie Settlement Officer Handing-Taking Report

Dalhousie: Kelsang Tenzin took charge as the new Settlement Officer of Dalhousie from outgoing Settlement Officer Phurbu Tsering in the presence of official witness Karma Namgyal, the Tibetan Settlement Officer of Bir, representing Department of Home, CTA.

The handing-taking over process between the incoming and outgoing settlement officers commenced on 18 July during which, important office documents, files, books, and other materials in possession of the settlement officer were successfully handed over. In that afternoon, the new TSO was introduced to various ongoing projects as well as sites of completed projects.

On the subsequent day, a series of meeting were held with Deputy Commissioner of District Chamba, Shri Mukesh Repaswal, IAS; SDM Shri Anil Bhardwaj; Tehsildar Shri R. K. Chauhan; ITFS President Shri G. S. Dhillon; and other local dignitaries to formally introduce the new settlement officer.

The official handing and taking-over ceremony was held on 20 July. It was attended by representatives of Local Tibetan Assembly and Regional Tibetan Freedom Movement, Chairman of TRHC, and representative from other non-governmental organisations.
