Taipei: Kalon Norzin Dolma and Secretary Karma Choeying of the Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), met with the President of Taiwan Foundation for Democracy (TFD), Huang Yulin. Representative Kelsang Gyaltsen Bawa and Secretary Mingyur Youdon of the Office of Tibet-Taiwan accompanied the visiting Kalon and Secretary at the meeting.
During an hour-long interaction, Kalon Norzin Dolma introduced her official visit programmes and engagements to the President of TFD. She expressed her gratitude to TFD for funding and supporting the CTA’s projects, especially for undertakings of the Taiwan-based Office of Tibet. Furthermore, while updating him about the prevailing situations inside Tibet, Kalon urged for future collaboration between the two organisations, given President Huang Yulin’s experiences of visiting Dharamshala. Hence, she invited TFD’s President Huang Yulin to Dharamshala to acquire better familiarisation with the proper democratic system of CTA and to propose further synergetic projects.
President Huang Yulin of the TFD lauded Kalon Norzin Dolma and Secretary Karma Choeying for visiting Taiwan and verbalised his solidarity with the current situations inside Tibet. Furthermore, while assuring his eagerness to visit Dharamshala whenever an opportunity arises, Huang Yulin ensured Taiwan’s interest in supporting CTA’s undertakings, internationally and domestically. International politics, China’s foreign policy and its developments, and CTA’s policies were also discussed at length during the meeting.
