Dharamshala: Kalon (Minister) Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations, CTA, addressed the faculties and students of Bengaluru-based Visveswarapura College of Law at a seminar titled “Human Rights and Violations of Human Rights” as Chief Guest on 19 May 2023. The event was organised by the institute’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Indo Tibetan Friendship Society (IFTS), Bengaluru and Mysore, led by Shri Niranjan U.
The seminar is presided by Shri B N Lokesh, chairman of Governing Council Law College and it is attended by Principal Dr Sudha G; Dr Sanjeev’s Gowda G S, IQAS Coordinator; Vishwapriya C, Coordinator amongst faculty members and students.
In her keynote speech, Kalon Norzin Dolma apprised the audience of critical situations inside Tibet and the Chinese Communist Party’s enforcement of systematic and repressive policies intended to extinct the unique cultural heritage of Tibet. She also spoke about the Central Tibetan Administration’s (CTA) policy of the Middle Way Approach, envisioned by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, for resolving the long-standing Tibet-China conflict through mutual benefits.
The seminar was also addressed by other guests, and Representative Jigmey Tsultrim from the Chief Representative Office of the South Zone conveyed a vote of thanks in the end. Mementoes were also exchanged during the event as a token of respect between the Chief Guest and administrators of the college.
