JAMMU: Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama who is currently visiting Jammu & Kashmir to take part in the convocation ceremony of Central University of Jammu, expressed his special greetings and prayers for people of the state.

“I want to express special greetings and prayers for people of the state. We should always keep peace of mind and should not let anger overtake us. Anger always brings disaster and prevents us from using our intelligence effectively therefore preventing us from finding solutions to difficult situations,” His Holiness told reporters on his arrival.

In his message to people of J&K, he said that mentally, physically, emotionally, human beings were all same and that every human being desired happiness and peace of mind.

His Holiness was received by Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs Chering Dorjay along with Advisor to the Chief Minister Professor Amitabh Mattoo on behalf of the Chief Minister.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Ashok Aima, Jammu Divisional Commissioner Hemant Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner K Rajeev Ranjan, students from Ladakh and members of civil society were also present.

Earlier today, the Tibetan spiritual leader took part in the first convocation of Central University of Jammu.
