New Delhi: Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, the head of Drikung Kagyu lineage along with an interfaith delegation greeted the Honourable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.

In the rare meeting, Drikung Kyabgon Rinpoche presented a painting of traditional Tibetan motif, ‘The Four Harmonious Friends’ to President Kovind.

Rinpoche was part of the Interfaith delegation participating in the ‘All India Gandhian Constructive Workers Conference’ from 25 – 27 November in Delhi. On the final day, the delegation was invited to discuss proceedings of the conference with the President.

The All India Gandhian Constructive Workers’ Conference, organised by Harijan Sevak Sangh in collaboration with Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti (GSDS), brought together more than 5000 HSS and tribal leaders from across India.

The Conference’s inaugural was graced by Vice President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naiduji.

Deputy Speaker of Tibetan parliament, Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok took part in the inaugural event as the guest of honour.
