Delegation of CTA Emergency Task Force Committee visits monasteries in Himachal Pradesh
Dharamshala: Members of CTA’s Covid-19 Task Force Committee successfully conclude their visitation to Tibetan settlements across Himachal Pradesh.
The delegation embarked on a four-day inspection tour of the settlements from 26-30 August where they covered every Tibetan settlement spread across the Himachal state.
The delegation led by Education Secretary Jigme Namgyal, TMAI Director Tashi Tsering Phuri, Dr Rinzin Sangmo from Mentseekhang, and Tenzin Wangdak, staff of Department of Health visited Tashi jong settlement, Bir settlement including Bir Dege, Nangchen, Chauntra, Tso Pema, Dhobhi, Tashiling at Pandoh, and Kullu Manali.
The delegation discussed the preventive measures and the efforts taken by the respective settlements to curb the spread of covid-19 and to counter the possible resurgence of a covid third wave. Schools and monasteries were thoroughly inspected for their preparedness to tackle covid resurgence. The members had assured to provide all necessary assistance needed by the settlements.
