DHARAMSHALA: The sixth day of the fifth session of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile commenced with Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok chairing the session.
Following the first list of business for the day, Parliamentarian Dawa Tsering read out the starred question for President Dr Lobsang Sangay. He gave the requisite answer and also duly answered the various supplementary questions raised by the other members of the parliament.

Thereafter, the debate on the Recurring Budget (rgyun gron sngon stsis) and Special Recurring Budget (smigs bsal sngon stsis) of Department of Security for the fiscal year 2018-2019 ensued, which was later passed in unanimity by the members of the parliament respectively.
The house, which resumed at 1:30pm after its adjournment at 12:30pm for lunch break, was chaired by Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel.
The Recurring Budget (rgyun gron sngon stsis) and Special Recurring Budget (smigs bsal sngon stsis) of offices under the Department of Information and international Relations., viz., Tibet Policy Institute, Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama (Delhi) and India-Tibet Co-ordination Office (ITCO) were also passed unanimously in the session.

The Recurring budget (rgyun gron sngon stsis), Special Recurring budget (smigs bsal sngon stsis) and the Surkyol (zur bkol sngon stsis) budget of the Office of Tibet, Washington DC, for the fiscal year 2018-2019 was also approved unanimously.
Today’s session welcomed a group of 4 dignitaries led by Dr Rajesh Sharma, Himachal Pradesh Chief Coordinator of Vishua Hindu Parishad.
The house adjourned at 5:00 pm till 9:30 am of tomorrow morning.
